Flight bound for Kahului from San Diego rerouted after warning light indication

According to a report by KITV Island News, a Hawaiian Airlines flight scheduled from San Diego, California to Kahului, Maui, was diverted to Oakland, California shortly after takeoff Monday morning, after a warning light indicated an engine problem.

About 2-and-a-half hours after takeoff, the plane landed safely at Oakland International Airport, with 178 passengers and seven crew-members on-board. passengers were given meal vouchers and accommodated on other flights.
