The Maui Community Correctional Center recently reported its first case of COVID-19.
According to the state Department of Public Safety (PSD), an inmate tested positive.
“The inmate was already in mandatory intake quarantine and will remain in medical isolation,” PSD reports.
To date, more than 2,000 inmates and staff-members have tested positive at PSD facilities across the state.
