Fire Burns Two Acres in Napili

A brush fire burned about two acres in the area of Napili off Napilihau Street, Mauka of Maui Preparatory Academy on Friday. Maui Fire Department firefighters responded to a 5:48 p.m. alarm and battled the blaze in dense vegetation and uneven terrain. The fire was deemed under control by 6:39 p.m. and extinguished by 8:21 p.m.
